Hello Winter...are you coming soon?

Hello Friends:

Yes I am missing the Winter right now. I'm sure for some of you Winter is the pits, but down here in South Florida it is heaven. The humidity goes away, the thunderstorms take a break, you can roll down the windows in your car and not break a sweat. Ahhhh, I can feel those temps now. I have to imagine because believe me, the summer temps in Florida are horrid right now to say the least, 90 degrees plus humidity!

To remind us of Winter, here is a Winter ornament I recently made :)

"Be Merry" by Little House Needleworks
32 Ct Linen (Lambswool...I think)
Threads: DMC and Crescent Color as called for
Finish: Hanging Ornament

I participated in the Christmas in July ornament exchange on The Friendly Stitchers Yahoo Group. This ornament went to my partner Meg. The red fabric in the background was used on the back of the ornament. I received my ornament from Meg and it is absolutely fabulous. She did a fantastic job. I'll save that picture for my next post.

I've decided to take a break from doing Exchanges. I seem to be partaking in so many of those that I find myself taking more time stitching and shopping for those than actually making things for me. I'll jump back in eventually. Perhaps after I cross off some of the WIP projects on my list to the right. I have other projects begging to be started too.

Thank you for visiting friends. Good Night and I hope you all have a lovely rest of the week. :)

*Hugs*

Some projects to Share...

Hello Friends:

I'm back today to share some projects with you.

First up is a birthday card that I made for the February card swap over at the Paper Wishes Message Board. We are only allowed to use Paper Wishes products on our cards, so for this card I used papers and die cuts from the Cherry on Top Artful Card Kit. I was very pleased with the result.

In a previous post I mentioned I participated in a biscornu exchange on the Friendly Stitchers Yahoo Group. This is the biscornu I received from my partner, Lindsay. Isn't it fabulous?! She used a freebie design for this. Not only do I love that variegated thread she used, but I just love the buttons she used for the middle. They are so colorful and pretty. Just perfect!

Biscornu Bottom Side:

Lindsay mentioned the bottom side was designed by her since the pattern she used didn't have a pattern for the bottom. I think it turned it great. Don't you?

In case you didn't see my biscornu to her, here it is again:

Finally, here is a picture of my weekend stitching progress. I had a bowling tournament Saturday afternoon, and I was exhausted by the time I got home. My stitching mojo was non-existent on Saturday, but Sunday was a different story. I decided to work on my BAP project Little House Neighborhood. I'm loving this piece.

That's all for now friends. Thank you again for your sweet comments and notes of encouragement to me on my projects. Take care and have a great week. :)
