Hello Everyone:
Just wanted to spread the word that a new challenge blog will be starting this week. It is called Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges. Every project must feature a furry friend. How cute! and convenient... so many digis out there with animals. I have a quite a few myself. The challenge is a monthly challenge posted on the first Friday of every month. They are posting their first challenge this Friday (September 3). They are also giving away some great blog candy on Friday. So head over and check them out!
Happy Crafting!

Why Sleep when you can make a Card?!
Hello Again:I have come to realize that I really should be more careful about drinking coffee in the evening hours because it has this wonderful effect of keeping me awake into the wee hours of the morning. Oh well, better that it happened on a Saturday night than a Sunday night.
It my wide alertness I was able to participate in the fantastic blog hop hosted by Prairie Fairy Designs. There are so many talented card makers on their design team and many of them were giving away blog candy too. I hope I get something! There will be many drawings for prizes going on after tomorrow. So in my effort to have a better chance at winning something, I took advantage of the early entry deadline for the challenge at Prairy Fairy Fridays. If we submit our challenge before 11:00 tomorrow (Fairy Time as shown on the blog), we will be entered to win some extra prizes. Woo Hoo! The challenge this week was to use Pearls and Lace on our card.
So my cutie above is a Prairie Fairy Digi. Her name is Pretty Gillian. My papers are from Hot off the Press and DCWV. The Lace and Ribbon are from Hot off the Press and the pearls and flowers are from the local craft store. I colored Gillian with colored pencils and I applied stickles on her skirt, hat and pearl necklace to give her some glitz. I also added Stickles to the Flower as well to give it that final finish.
Thanks for looking! :)

A Cute Kitty Saying Hello!
Hello Everyone:I have a new card to share. It is a very simple card but I like the way it came out. Isn't the kitty focal so cute? I picked him up at Delightful Inspirations. You should also check out their challenge blog. It is really neat. Each week you play along, you get the following week's digi free via e-mail to use for that weeks challenge. This cute little guy I had to buy since it was my first week playing, but I will definitely be participating each week. Their digi stamps are really cute.
I'm submitting my cute card here to four challenges:
1) Cute Card Thursday - Challenge #127 - "Dieing for a Punch"
2) Fab N Funky - Challenge #37 - "Sharing Recipes" (3 Papers, 2 Embellishments, 1 Image)
3) Paper Sundaes - Sketch Challenge #32
4) Delightful Inspiration - Make a card using "The Cats Meow"
Enjoy your Saturday and thanks for visiting!

New Challenge/Different Kind of Card
Hello All:You know why I love Saturdays? Because tomorrow is Sunday and that means another opportunity to relax at home and craft. :) Tonight I was able to sit down and work on a new card for a challenge, but what made this challenge more enjoyable was that the card was made using a different technique. Tuesday Morning Sketches decided not to use a sketch this week, but a different card technique called a Diagonal Double Pocket Card.
I really like this technique because it makes such a unique gift card holder. I am the type that takes great pride in how I present gifts and this is awesome. The paper is DCWV and the embellishments are from Hot off the Press. The paper is just so pretty that I kept the embellishments to a minimum. The words stamped on the 2nd layer say "Wishing you big smiles today and all year long" and there is a tag in the back pocket with the gift card that says Happy Birthday. So this card is my entry to Challenge #55 at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Thanks for looking and all of your comments are appreciated.

A Card Without a Digi...
Happy Friday Everyone:I have a new card to share. You may notice that I didn't use a digi stamp for this one. It did feel strangely odd not to use one this time. You get so used to that important step in the process of choosing your image and how to color it, that when you bypass that step completely, you feel a little lost. A least that is how I felt anyway. LOL. :) Well I was not completely lost, I did have some help. I used a sketch posted for the newest challenge over at the Paper Wishes Message Board. It was a very simple sketch which makes a perfect CAS card I think.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend!

A Masculine Card / Three New Challenges
Happy Sunday All!I decided to participate in a challenge to make a masculine card. I have realized that they are not easy. I can't use my flowers, pearls or any of my other bling on them. I have to remind myself that men are simple beings and like simple things. I found this fantastic image by Deborah Moore at Card-Making Downloads. I thought it was a perfect focal that says "Relax and be lazy on your birthday". I think any man would appreciate that. The papers are from DCWV and the embellishments are from Hot off the Press.
I'm entering this card into three challenges:
1) Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Challenge #95 - "Its a Man'sWorld"
2) Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - Challenge #44 - "Buttons and Bows"
3) Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Challenge #35 - "Anything Goes"
Enjoy your Sunday afternoon everyone. :)

A New Baby Card and Five Challenges!

Hello All:
My newest card creation is a baby card. A friend from work is actually 5 months pregnant and is expecting a girl. I found this cute baby fairy image by Mo's Digital Pencil and I thought it was adorable. I used papers from Taylor Expressions and Hot off the Press, the dazzles are from Hot off the Press and the flower and pearl embellishments are from Michaels. I used Stickels to give the wings some glitz. I'm entering this card into five challenges this week:
1) Flutter by Wednesday - Fairy and Favorite Color.
2) Cute Card Thursday - Challenge #124 - "Whateva"
3) Mo's Digital Challenge - Challenge #43 - "Things with Wings"
4) One Stitch at a Time - Challenge #24 - "Use a Little Pink"
5) The Corrosive Challenge - Challenge #75 - "All About Babies"
I wish I had a more creative touch with a camera. The picture doesn't do it justice. I tried to play with the photo software so the colors on the fairy would show up better, plus photographing glitter isn't easy either. Getting a perfect picture is always an extra challenge for me. :)
Enjoy your Friday everyone!
