A Fun Birthday Card

Happy Saturday:

Here is my newest creation of the week. It was for a co-worker of mine whose birthday was yesterday. The image is from Squigglefly. It is called "The Party Thing". I colored it with my colored pencils and added stickles. Papers, ribbon, rhinestones and Dazzle sentiment are from Hot off the Press. I also added a thread of Kreinik Metallic Braid on the side and the little flowers came from Taylor Made Expressions.

I'm entering this card into two challenges:

Squigglefly Challenge #66 - "Use a favorite Squigglefly Image"
C.R.A.F.T Challenge #68 - "Use Colored Pencils Only"

Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone and Thank you for your comments. They are all appreciated. :D

A Sew Beary Cute Card!

Woohoo It's the weekend! Time to play which is what I have been doing. I have to tell everyone, I am loving the digital stamps by Delightful Inspiration. What a treat it is to get the following week's stamp, when you play their challenge each week. Perfect for any digi stamp addict. The featured stamp this week is "Sew Beary Kind". I think he is perfect for a Hello, Missing You or Thinking of You themed card. My card is a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2. I used papers from the Citrus Card Makers pack from Hot off the Press and the matching embellishments and Dazzles greeting is from Hot off the Press. The flowers and pearls are from Michael's.

I'm sending this card to my swap partner at the Paper Wishes Message Board. This month our challenge was to use metal. I added the little metal key. The thread it is hanging on is Kreinik Metallic Braid which any cross-stitcher can tell you is not a lot of fun to use sometimes, but the colors are pretty and glitzy.

I'm submitting this card to his weeks challenge at Fab N Funky Challenge - "What Eva" and also to Delightful Inspirations challenge this week which was to use "Sew Beary Kind" bear.

My last post I indicated I submitted my project to Fab N Funky's design team call, but I faux pauxed and forgot to add the "DT" on my entry so I'm going to make sure I enter my project right this time! LOL. I'm a blonde what can I say.

Enjoy your weekends everyone! :D

A Pretty ATC to Share

Happy Thursday Friends:

I decided to work on a different kind of project tonight. It felt nice. I don't know about you, but I need to change up the projects I work on because I tend to get bored doing the same things. Plus my printer ran out of toner on me tonight so not much choice but to work on a project that didn't need a digi. I'll address that printer problem this weekend. Must have digis! :D

So over at the Paper Wishes Message Board, our Paper Craft Swap Challenge for this month was to make an ATC using shades of our favorite color. I chose pink! Kind of a hard pick since I also love blue and purple too, but I really wanted to use these gorgeous rose dazzles I had from Paper Wishes. Plus the sentiment coordinated perfectly. The pink shading around the sentiment is chalk ink. The color is "Pixie Dust" by VersaMagic. I used a q-tip to apply it around the edge of the sentiment as well as on some of the rose dazzles. I used papers from the "Jewel" Cardmakers Pack from Hot of the Press, Rose Dazzles by Hot off the Press, and pearl embellishments from Michaels. I really hope my swap partner likes it. I'm very proud of how this came out.

I'm submitting this project to one challenge this week:

Fab N Funky Challenge: Challenge #39 - "What-Eva"

I'm also linking this project up to Fab N Funky's Design Team Call so the lovely ladies can pop over and view my blog. Hopefully if I get around to getting more toner for my printer this weekend, I can upload a new card for their challenge this week. I'm feeling a fun Halloween card is in order. :)

Enjoy your Friday everyone. As always, your comments are very much appreciated. Bye for now!

A Thanksgiving Card

Happy Sunday Everyone:

I hope my U.S. friends are enjoying their long holiday weekend. I know I am! So here I made a card using the new image "Oak Wreath" from Delightful Inspiration. This image made me think of Autumn, although it could be used for Christmas also. Making a Thanksgiving card was a personal challenge since it is a holiday I tend to overlook for making cards i.e. I have never done one. LOL I colored my image with colored pencils and attempted to add some glitter in the end to give it some extra something, but I think I overdid it. Anyways, I still like it. :) The papers are from Hot Off the Press. The stickers that look like embossing are called Dazzles and they are from Paper Wishes. The other embellishments are from my stash.

I am entering this challenge into three challenges this week:

1) Delightful Inspiration: Make a card using "Oak Wreath"
2) Cute Card Thursday - Use Material (I used ribbon made from material)
3) Fab n Funky Challenges - Use Material ( I used ribbon made from material)

Enjoy your weekends and thanks for looking. Bye for now. :)
