A Valentine Candy Bar Holder

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I have a special project to share with you all today. I am very excited about this project because it was different and I had so much fun making it. I was browsing around the Delightful Inspirations Card Ideas Blog when I came across Debbie's Blog: The Paper Garden. I absolutely fell in love with her project which was a Candy Bar Holder. You can access the instructions by clicking here. I thought, 'WOW that would be a wonderful project for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day." He likes surprises and he knows my obsession with paper crafting. I'm sure he's expecting me to do something out of the ordinary that is not a card. Plus he loves chocolate.

The pictures are up top as you can see. I must need to buy "Blogger for Dummies" or something because I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures under this post rather than above it. But that's okay, you get the idea. :) I used double-sided designer papers from K & Company. The digi focal is "Puppy Love" from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored him with colored pencils and matted him onto some scraps of the designer paper. I accented the front just a little bit with Red Stickles. (Remember this project is for a guy LOL) The sentiments I wrote and printed myself and the Ribbon is from Paper Wishes. Now I just need to go get the chocolate to finish it. Plus I need to find some place to hide this so he doesn't find it before tomorrow. ;-)

I'm entering this project into three challenges:

1) Stamp Something - Valentines
2) Crafty Catz - Valentines/Love Theme
3) The Pixie Cottage - Ribbon

Thanks for looking and enjoy your special day with your other half tomorrow. :D

A Tiny Project

Happy Late Friday Everyone:

Yes it is almost 2 AM and I am wide awake making ATC's, Yay! The challenge over at the Bugaboo Challenge Blog is to create an ATC (Artist Trading Card), a 2.5" x 3.5" project. I really do like making ATC's because they are quick and easy projects. They don't take much thought as far as layout which is always a plus since layout does take some thought. The digi I used is a Bugaboo Digi stamp from the Puppy Love line under the Valentines section. I colored him with colored pencils in different shades of brown to make him somewhat colorful. :) I matted him on papers from Hot off the Press, added some red rhinestones on the corners to give it some thing extra and outlined the one border and hearts in red stickles to give the card some glitz. I like it!

Thanks for looking and Good Night!

Love is in the Air!

Hello All:

Here is my latest creation I wanted to share. I created this card for a swap over on the Paper Wishes Message Board. There is a special swap where anyone can request a special card with a theme with the hopes that a fellow member will make it for them. I made this card for a sweet lady whose request was for an engagement card for her son and his girlfriend. I thought this Digi Stamp by Digi Doodles was so sweet and perfect for a card that was going to a young couple. It could also make a sweet Valentine's card too. I hope my recipient likes it. Oddly enough this was my second attempt at making the card as I made one and the next day I decided I hated it, so I started over. I am much more pleased with this result than the first! The card is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 square, the papers and ribbon are from Hot off the Press, the pearls are from my stash, the "Love" sentiment is a dazzle from Hot of the Press and the glitz are Stickles. I am entering this card into these challenges this week:

1) The Beary Scrap Challenge - Sketch
2) Paper Sundaes - Valentines
3) Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Hearts
4) Digi Doodles - Valentines (and its their image I used yay! Double entry into the contest :)

Thanks for looking. :D
