It has been a very busy couple months, but busy in a good sense! Here's a little catch up:
Lets see: My son started 5th grade this year (What!) and our bowling season has kicked off in full swing. This means lots of competition and traveling on weekends from now till next May. I am bowling 2x a week this season. I agreed to bowl an extra night for a friend. Even though I miss having that second evening off to do other things, (like stitching) I'm still enjoying myself.
Last month I enjoyed a lovely weekend trip to Georgia to visit a long lost family friend who I hadn't seen in 22 years. It was my first time going to Georgia and I loved it! Georgia is so beautiful and green, not to mention cheap to live there! They are now starting to see snowfall which makes me so jealous! We even drove up to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Talk about gorgeous homes in the mountains.
I'm glad September is over because truthfully, October is my favorite month of the year. It signals the beginning of fall which in terms of Miami means the humidity and rain starts going away, and it also means the holidays are fast approaching. October is also the month our bowling association holds our Annual Bowl for the Cure event where we bowl to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. As chairperson for the Ways and Means Committee, I put on my thinking cap and came up with some cute creative items to sell this year.
Pink Ribbon Keychains:
Crocheted Pink Ribbon Magnets and Pins
Quilted Coaster Sets:
I have a few of the Key chains and Pink Ribbon Magnets for sale in my Etsy store. Just click the widget on my side bar to be taken to my store. I also have some other new and very pretty short scissor FOBS for sale as well.
I can't believe this year is almost over! Can you? I'm already making Christmas lists in my mind. Keeping it really simple. I'm taking a clue from smart shoppers and getting the shopping done early this year so I can relax and enjoy this holiday season. I really can't wait for Thanksgiving. I have a special family trip planned to Arizona and we are going to see the Grand Canyon! I've never been there. My son is super excited. He can't grasp in his little mind how huge it really is.
Thanks for visiting!
