Stitchy Exchanges and Other Projects

Happy Friday Friends:

I have some pictures to show you. First up is the ornament I received from Meg for the Christmas in July Exchange over at The Friendly Stitchers Yahoo Group.

Isn't it lovely? Meg said the pattern came from a Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue. I love the little beaded tassles in the corners and the beaded hanger she made.

Next up is a pillow I received from my partner, Laura, at the Seasonal Exchange blog.

I just love how she did those fabric covered buttons. I'll have to learn how to do those.

Next up is the piece I made for my partner, Dawn at the Seasonal Exchange blog.

Pattern: "Simplify" Pattern by Primitive Betty
Fabric: 28Ct Lugana in "Fairy Dust"
Threads: DMC (Colors chosen by me)
Finish: Hanging Ornament w/cording purchased at Joann Fabrics.
The purple fabric in the picture is on the back of the ornament.

Finally, I wanted to show a current pic of my progress on my Heaven and Earth chart "Mini Bookworm Fairy" by Hannah Lynn. A pic of the chart.

Before Picture (As of July 27)

After Picture (As of August 14)

In other news: I've been working on some knitting tonight. Something I haven't done in quite a while. Needless to say, its taken a few cycles of stitching, unraveling, stitching, unraveling, until the techniques started coming back to me.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and find time to do some crafting/sewing/quilting.

**Hugs**
Jen

Wow...knitting. That's the one thing I just can't do. I tried but ended up frustrated and wanting to stab someone with my needles, so for the health and safety of those I love, I chose to give away my knitting needles and promise not to ever try that again :) Your stitcheries are lovely!

Such great gifts, Jen! I've always meant to stitch that first one myself...

I can't imagine the patience you must have to tackle a HAED chart, but your Bookworm Fairy is off to a great start :)

Gorgeous gifts you all made for each other. REally love the beaded one. Have always wanted to try out beaded tassels...they look complicated! Lovely progress on your HAED too!
